Robert A. Weir, Credentials

Robert A. Weir, Jr., completed his undergraduate work at Georgetown University after which he attended Catholic University School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctor.

Mr. Weir, was a Deputy Attorney General in the State of New Jersey and Director of the state-federal drug task force working in conjunction with the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency.

After leaving the New Jersey Attorney General's Office, Mr. Weir became an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of New Jersey and was appointed Deputy Chief of the Organized Crime Section in Newark.

Mr. Weir has been in private practice since 1986, and founded the firm (with his partner, Edward Plaza), WEIR & PLAZA, LLC with offices in Red Bank, New Jersey.

Mr. Weir is currently admitted to practice in the District of Columbia Bar (1971), New Jersey Bar (1972), New York (Bar), and authorized to practice in the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. Weir is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Monmouth Bar Association (Member: Professionalism Committee) and the New Jersey Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Robert Weir, has also been named to the Approved List of Mediators in New Jersey.
